Companies offer a variety of resources to demonstrate they care for their employees and the communities in which they live. Those investments pay off in happier employees, a more upbeat culture, lower turnover and more productive, engaged employees.
A recent Economist EUI Study says:
…“corporate citizenship [CC] is becoming increasingly important for the long-term health of companies even though most struggle to show a return on their investment from socially responsible activities… 74 per cent of respondents to the survey say corporate citizenship can help increase profits at their company… Survey respondents who say effective corporate citizenship can help to improve the bottom line are also more likely to say their strategy is ‘very important’ to their business (33 per cent) compared with other survey respondents (8 per cent).”
InnerComm helps organizations plan ways to give back to the community and care for employees:
- We help organize giving initiatives that allow employees to contribute financially to Give-Back programs which fund internal employee emergency needs. Often these employee contributions are matched, in some manner, by the organization and, in some cases, senior management.
- We help coordinate external programs that allow employees get “hands-on” with community partners that serve to aid homeowners, families, youth or the disadvantaged. Helping a disadvantaged student in the community get a leg up in the business world or helping an employee pay a light bill gives employees a sense of being a part of something larger than themselves.
- We help develop chaplain program so that employees and their families are cared for during stressful and difficult times. Divorce, abuse, family illnesses, economic challenges and the death of a loved one are all matters that managers are often not equipped to handle and that take away from productivity and morale. Having programs in place to assist with personal needs sets you apart as an employer and builds loyalty among employees.
- We teach managers how to have caring conversations with employees so that an employee’s life events are addressed and the employee knows they are cared for and valued.
InnerComm has extensive relationships in the non-profit market and can accommodate a variety of community and non-profit partnership objectives.
