Hidden Treasure

The wind that God blows our way can be a special song that stirs our soul or it can be an event that strikes a chord in us or it can be a mysterious movement in us that seems to haunt us until we take the step we know we are meant to take. A step of faith.

Protection from a Thief

In the ancient culture of shepherding, the shepherd would gather the sheep each night and keep them safe by corralling them in a confined area (perhaps where two large rock formations join together) and the shepherd would lay across the opening to the area similar to a door or gate. This would keep the sheep safe as nothing could pass through to get the sheep unless it entered the gate. Jesus said he is the gate. We can find protection from evil and from the thieves of our life as we enter into the true safety offered to us by Christ.

Fear: Part I – When You’re Facing Fear

I must admit that fear rules me at times. Sometimes things can seem so depressing, so difficult to overcome and so unending that I lose heart and go into fear mode. We all worry and have fear, especially with terror threatening our world and the current economic environment. Some of us fear losing money, fear […]
